First Tuesday

Two SFADA galleries, George Lawson Gallery and Kim Eagles-Smith Fine Art, moved to Mill Valley in 2019, and they’re now open late for the local First Tuesday Artwalk.

First Thursday

The San Francisco Art Dealers Association invites you to join us for “First Thursday,” a downtown tradition since 1993. On every first Thursday of the month, many of our member galleries remain open to welcome visitors after normal working hours, most until 7:30PM.  In addition to ongoing SFADA Gallery Exhibitions, First Thursday events are listed on this page. If you are making a special trip to see a specific gallery, we recommend that you call first to confirm opening hours.

First Friday

On the first Friday of each month, galleries in Oakland participate in Oakland First Fridays, an immersive art and community experience on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On the other side of the Bay, Modern Eden Gallery and other art spaces in North Beach, San Francisco, participate in North Beach First Fridays, the neighborhood’s monthly art & culture walk.

First Saturday

On the first Saturday of each month, galleries at Minnesota Street Project (1275 Minnesota Street) and various other SFADA member galleries present special opportunities to connect with artists or visit current exhibitions. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
