2889 Ford Street, third floor #32 (east bay)
Oakland, California 94601
Founded in 2012, Gray Loft Gallery began as an airy Jingletown loft transformed into a dynamic art space. Often described as a hidden gem in the Jingletown artist district, the gallery earned high praise from the late Kenneth Baker, former San Francisco Chronicle Art Critic, who highlighted it in his Visual Arts Don’t Miss column as “…a space gaining prominence in the Bay Area.”
At Gray Loft Gallery, our mission is to provide an inclusive platform for artists, offering exhibition opportunities in a setting that reimagines the traditional gallery experience. We aim to inspire, engage, and celebrate the achievements of artists at every level by integrating established creators with emerging and mid-career talents in a non-traditional, community-oriented environment.
We believe art serves as a powerful tool for communication, community building, and inspiration. Our goal is to nurture appreciation and interest in the arts by showcasing work in a welcoming, professional, and fun atmosphere. We are committed to fostering the idea that art is for everyone and belongs within the community—not confined to museums or traditional galleries.
A Unique Venue Located on the third floor of one of Oakland’s historic work/live warehouse buildings, Gray Loft Gallery offers a distinctive setting in the heart of Jingletown. The gallery is proud to be a member of both the Oakland Art Murmur and the Jingletown Arts and Business Association.
