Marrow Gallery presents new work from San Francisco based Zai Divecha. Divecha makes geometric paper sculptures and installations. By scoring and pleating a repetitive series of “mountain” and “valley” folds in white sheets of paper, she creates patterns with depth and shadow. The fragility of the materials and the meditative nature of the white on white palette allow the viewer to immerse themselves in the work and spend a contemplative moment understanding form and pattern.
Divecha’s work can be found in the public collections of Square, Box, DocuSign, and Indus Capital Partners, Twitter and Riaz Inc. She has a BA in Psychology and an MA in public health from Yale University. This is her first solo exhibition with Marrow Gallery.
Please join us on Saturday, May 4th, from 6-8 for a reception.
