Fraenkel Gallery and FraenkelLAB are pleased to present a collaboration with Miguel Abreu Gallery, New York, from January 10 – February 4, 2017. There will be an opening reception at FraenkelLAB on Tuesday, January 10, 5-7 pm, on the eve of the FOG Design+Art Fair in San Francisco.
The exhibition will feature works by eight artists rarely seen in San Francisco: Liz Deschenes, Rochelle Goldberg, Aaron Flint Jamison, Sam Lewitt, Jean-Luc Moulène, Florian Pumhösl, R. H. Quaytman, Eileen Quinlan, Raha Raissnia, Blake Rayne, and Pieter Schoolwerth.
Miguel Abreu Gallery’s influential program has been instrumental in establishing New York City’s Lower East Side as an important destination for viewers interested in contemporary art. The gallery first opened in 2006 and represents artists working in a range of media based in New York, the west coast, and Europe.
FraenkelLAB, spearheaded by Frish Brandt and Jeffrey Fraenkel, is Fraenkel Gallery’s new venue for adventurous artwork from any era and in any medium. Gallery hours for Miguel Abreu Gallery at FraenkelLAB are: Wednesday-Thursday 1-7 pm and Friday-Saturday 12-8 pm.
