The East Cut Art Fair

Jan 12 — Jan 14, 2018

Third Art Fair to join San Francisco Art Week, January 12-14, 2018

January 13, 10-7pm | January 14, 11-5pm

A boutique pop-up art fair, called The East Cut Art Fair, will take place in a 3,000 foot retail storefront at 160 Spear, just south of Market Street in mid-January 2018. Timed to coincide with the two major international fairs, Fog Design + Art, and Untitled, San Francisco, which will be held over the same weekend, The East Cut Art Fair will feature contemporary art that has been curated by four Bay Area art galleries, all under one roof. Participating galleries include Chandra Cerrito Contemporary, George Lawson Gallery, Seager Gray Gallery, and SLATE Contemporary.

All artwork will be for sale, with prices ranging from $500 for small collectibles by local artists, to $20,000 for more important works by artists with national and international reputations.

The non-profit East Cut Community Benefit District is co-producing the fair as a way to foster community within the district (which lays broadly between Mission and Harrison, Stuart and 2nd Street, and contains the Rincon Hill, Transbay, and Folsom Street neighborhoods). Location sponsor Tishman Speyer has donated the space as a way to activate the neighborhood and support the broader Bay Area arts community.

The fair will be open to the public on Friday January 12th from 10-5, Saturday January 13th from 10-7, and Sunday January 14th from 11-5, with free admission. A free family-oriented tour of the exhibition, called “Looking at Art,” will be held Saturday and Sunday at noon. All ages welcome.
