May 7, 2024 (Palo Alto, CA) – This May, to mark Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Qualia Contemporary Art is pleased to present All Together Now: Celebrating AAPI Voices in Contemporary Art in association with The Asian American Foundation and East West Bank. The exhibition features the work of 14 exceptional Asian-American artists. Working in a diverse array of media and exploring a variety of themes and ideas, these 14 artists exemplify the wealth and breadth of talent among contemporary Asian-American artists. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 18 – June 28, 2024, with an opening celebration hosted on Saturday, May 18th, from 4:30-6:30 PM PST. Artists in the exhibition include: Michael Arcega, Arnold Chang, Hai-Hsin Huang, Yun-Fei Ji, Hung Liu, Masako Miki, Younhee Paik, Ren Light Pan, TT Takemoto, Rupy C. Tut, Kelly Wang, Xiaoze Xie, Stella Zhang, and ZHENG Chongbin. Qualia is especially proud to highlight the work of artist Rupy C. Tut, who was just announced as the winner of the 2024 SECA Award at SFMOMA, Michael Arcega, a 2024 SECA Award finalist, and Younhee Paik, who will be representing the United States at the upcoming Gwangju Biennale.
This wide-ranging group of both established and emerging artists showcases the creativity and diversity of their respective practices, while celebrating the contributions of AAPI artists to the greater discourse around contemporary art in America. In collaboration with The Asian American Foundation and East West Bank, Qualia Contemporary Art aims to build bridges of understanding within the local Bay Area community, promote tolerance, and foster a deeper appreciation and awareness of AAPI identities nationwide.
