First Thursday

The San Francisco Art Dealers Association invites you to join us for “First Thursday,” a downtown tradition since 1993. On every first Thursday of the month, many of our member galleries remain open to welcome visitors after normal working hours, most until 7:30PM or later. Galleries in the DoReMi neighborhood (Dogpatch/Potrero Hill) are also open until 7PM.  In addition to ongoing SFADA Gallery Exhibitions, First Thursday events are listed on this page. If you are making a special trip to see a specific gallery, we recommend that you call first to confirm opening hours.

2017 First Thursday Art Walk Dates:  Jan 5, Feb 3, Mar 2, Apr 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, Aug 3, Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 2 and Dec 7

First Saturday

On the first Saturday of each month, galleries at Minnesota Street Project (1275 Minnesota Street) and select other SFADA member galleries present special opportunities to connect with artists or learn more about current exhibitions. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Check back often as these events are continually updated!

2017 First Saturday Art Walk Dates:  Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug 5, Sept 9, Oct 7, Nov 4 and Dec 2
