Gallery Wendi Norris presents a contemporary and modern program with an emphasis on fostering dialogue among artists working over diverse time periods and geographic locations and in a wide array of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation. The gallery operates in both the primary and secondary markets; it represents artists working today, including Simone Leigh, Chitra Ganesh, Julio Cesar Morales, Tomokazu Matsuyama, and Val Britton, and has also worked closely with the estates of Dorothea Tanning, Wolfgang Paalen, Leonora Carrington and Remedios Varo for over a decade. Founded with an emphasis on scholarship and education, the gallery publishes researched exhibition catalogues, sponsors artists talks, and hosts visiting academics, among other initiatives.
